Ritchie Blackmore 가 그의 아내 Candice Night 과 함께 켈틱 포크의 아름다움을 노래하는 블랙모어즈 나이트       Deep purple 의 기타리스트였던 Richi Blackmore가 97년 결성한 그룹 Blackmore"s Night 리치 브랙모어의 기타 연주와 함께 그의 연인인 캔디스 나잇의 청아한 보컬은 원곡의 서정성을 잃지 않으면서도 또다른 느낌을 전해주고 있다       deep purple, rainbow의 기타리스트였던 richi blackmore가 97년 결성한 그룹입니다.현재 국내에는 총 4장의 앨범이 발매되어 있구여 이외에도 `past time with good company`라는 앨범이 수입음반으로 들어 온적이 있습니다. 정규앨범은 데뷔앨범인 `shadow of the moon` 두번째앨범은 `under the violet moon`2001년 발매앨범인 `fires at midnight`이 있고 같은 2001년에 발매된 베스트앨범인 `minstrels and bakkads`등이 나와 있습니다. 보컬에는 그의 연인인 캔디스 나잇이 참여하고 있으며 블랙모어가 이전에 딥퍼플이나 레인보우에서 보여주었던 스피디하고 파워풀한 음악이 아니라 중세유럽풍의 섬세하고 서정적인 음악을 주로 하고 있죠..딮퍼플의 팬들이라면 조금은 실망이겠지만요. 그리고 무엇보다 이들의 음반에는 이전에 포크락이나 아트록쪽의 명곡들을 리바이벌한 곡들도 상당수 포함되어 있죠 ocean gypsy의 경우도 renaissance의 원곡이며..이외도 아일랜드민요인 green sleeves...bob dylan의곡 등등...을 자신의 색깔에 맞춰서 새로 해석한곡들을 듣는것도 새로운 경험인것 같습니다. 글 출처 : 전영혁인가....어디지?...     내가 좋아하는 존바에즈의 음성으로 들어봐야쥐...원래 존바에즈가 불렀었거든...   DIAMONDS AND RUST - Joan Baez (Words and Music by Joan Baez) Well I'll be damned Here comes your ghost again But that's not unusual It's just that the moon is full And you happened to call And here I sit Hand on the telephone Hearing a voice I'd known A couple of light years ago Heading straight for a fall As I remember your eyes Were bluer than robin's eggs My poetry was lousy you said Where are you calling from?
