She won the Public Prize at the Canadian Lyric Fund Competition, and received the Raoul-Jobin Prize in 1998. With her irresistible charisma, generosity, and passion for lyric art, Marie-Josée Lord is a favorite guest on several television and radio shows (Tout le monde en parle, Studio 12, En direct de l’univers, etc.). Her first solo CD, which was recorded with the Orchestre Métropolitain under the baton of Giuseppe Pietraroia, won Marie-Josée Lord a Félix (ADISQ) in the category Album of the year — classical vocal in 2011 and received a JUNO nomination. Her album titled Yo Soy Maria (released in the Fall of 2012) and featuring works from Latin America was released under the Atma classique label as well as her latest CD released in October 2014 titled Amazing Grace. For this album, Marie-Josée Lord was inspired by her love for spirituals and traditional carols. She embarked on a mystical journey surrounded by the Ensemble Vocal Épiphanie, violinist Antoine Bareil, and organist Jean-Willy Kunz.
