Who is Izzy - Izzy is an exciting young soprano who prefers to be known simply by her nickname Izzy. She was born Isobel Cooper in a beautiful English village called Much Wenlock in Shropshire, England.

Her first release on Manhattan Records in the U.S.A. is the eponymously titled CD Izzy a collection of arias and traditional songs from her two CD’s previously released in Europe. In 2000 Izzy was nominated Best Female Artist in the inaugural Classical BRIT Awards and was signed to the Virgin Records Venture Label. She and producer Craig Leon well known for his work with diverse acts such as the The Ramones, The Bangles and Blondie, went into the Abbey Road studios, made famous by the Beatles and poured over hundreds of different songs and arrangements before finalizing the selection that became Ascolta. "The record company encouraged me to take a song or an aria and interpret it in my own way," explains Izzy. Ascolta was very well received worldwide and was followed by an equally successful CD New Dawn, which helped to broaden her audience even further. Both of these CDs reached the coveted No. 1 position on the UK classical charts.

Izzy has appeared at China’s famous Qingdao Festival in front of more than 40,000 people, as well as in several shows in Japan and Europe where she is already being dubbed 'the healing artist.' Izzy has also performed at the world famous Royal Albert Hall for the recording of the BBC’s 'Songs of Praise.' Her first appearance in the U.S. was on the Hour of Power at the Crystal Cathedral in Southern California to over 20 million TV viewers.
