Joyful Girl Shameless - Ani DiFranco I cannot name this i cannot explain this and i really don't want to just call me shameless i can't even slow this down let alone stop this and i keep looking around but i cannot top this if i had any sense i guess i'd fear this i guess i'd keep it down so no one would hear this i guess i'd keep it down so no one would hear this i guess i'd shut my mouth and rethink a minute but i can't shut it now 'cuz there's something in it we're in a room without a door and i am sure without a doubt they're gonna wanna know how we got in here and they're gonna wanna know how we plan to get out we better have a good explanation for all the fun that we had 'cuz they are coming for us, babe and they are going to be mad yeah they're going to be mad at us this is my skeleton this is the skin it's in that is according to light and gravity i'll take off my disguise the mask you met me in 'cuz i got something for you to seejust gimme your skeleton give me the skin it's in yeah baby, this is you according to me i never avert my eyes i never compromise so never mind the poetry i gotta cover my butt 'cuz i covet another man's wife i gotta divide my emotions into wrong and right then i get to see how close i can get to it without giving in then i get to rub up against it till i break the skin rub up against it till i break the skin they're gonna be mad at us thy're gonna be mad at me and you thy're gonna be mad at us and all the things we wanna do just please don't name this please don't explain this just blame it all on me say i was shameless say i couldn't slow it down let alone stop it and say you just hung around 'cuz you couldn't top it Ani DiFranco의 곡이 이 부록 시디에 두곡이 껴있었다. 사실 이 잡지 부록시디를 듣기 전까지는 디프랑코 이 여자에 대해서 들어 본 적도 없었다. 이 시디에서 Glass House를 딱 듣고는(잡지에 수록된 정보까지 보고는....) 참 독특한 곡이네,,,하는 생각이 들었다. 그렇게 알게된 이 여자. 그 이후 잊혀질만 하면 한번씩 접하게 된다. 뉴스에서...-_-;; 음악 프로 같은곳 보다 각종 포털 싸이트의 뉴스에서 이 여자의 근황을 알게되니 거참...ㅎㅎㅎ 최근엔 여성의 낙태권리를 보장하라는 시위현장에서 통기타를 무슨 기관총 처럼 옆에 차고있는 사진을 본 적도 있다. 그렇다! 디프랑코는 2006 그레미어워드에 노미네이트 될 정도로 인지도를 가지고 있지만 항상 양지보다는 음지를 지향한다.(써 놓고 보니 옛날 안기부 구호가 생각 나는군...) 이 여자 성격이 원래 그런것 같다. 데뷰음반도 인디음반사들을 알아보다가 인디 음반사 또한 음악보다는 돈벌이에 혈안 인걸 보고는 친구들과 얼마없던 통장 잔고를 털어 자신의 레이블을 만든다. (여기서 잠깐...인디,마이너 음반사에서 나오는 음반이 메이져 음반보다 많이 팔리고 더 대중적 인기를 얻는건 좀 모순아닌가?) 9살때 기타를 처음 배우고 비틀즈에 심취해 16세 이전까지 그들의 곡을 연주를 하며 공연을 한 경력도 특별나다. 우리네 초딩2학년에 비교해 보면 사뭇 특별하지 않은가!? DIY(Do It Yourself) 디프랑코의 모티브라고 한다. 그렇다! DIY는 가구만들때만 쓰는게 아니다. 모든 생활에 적용되는것 같다. 자기의 일은 스스로 하자~~라던 티비 CF도 있지 않았던가... 디프랑코는 양성애 자다. 레즈비언에 더 가깝다. (낙태, 양성애, 레즈비언,,,이 단어들로 이글루파인더에 걸리지 않기를...김C님의 전철을 밟지 않기를...ㅎㅎㅎ) 그래서 일까 음반이 120만장이 팔리든, 그레미에 노미네이트 되든, 빌보드 상위권에 랭커되든, 몇 천명 이상이 입장하는 콘서트만 할 수 밖에 없는 인기든간에 그녀는 자신만의 레이블을 가지고 항상 소수,소외된 이들의 편에서서 노래한다. 당연히 가사 또한 그러하다... 그럼 노래나 들어 봅시다. 포크가 가장 잘 표현 할 수 있는 그런 음악을... 끝으로 그녀 음반에 적혀 있는 경고 문구...'이 음반의 대여 및 무단복제는 법으로 금지되어 있습니다.' 라는평범하고도 살벌한 문구 대신 '때로는 불법복제도 유용하겠지만 원본이 더 좋습니다.'라고 친절하게 적혀있다. 출처 : 세상은 넓고 들을 음악은 많다. 잘생긴 꾀꼬리 꽃미남 리차드강 어리버리 돈키호테.
